Use the form below to submit your story and/or photos. Please note the following guidelines:
- Deadline Information: All submissions must be received by the 1st of the month prior to the publication/issue month (for example, by April 1 for the May issue). Be aware that we may not be able to publish your submission right away but may hold it for a future issue.
- All content submitted for consideration to The Amherst Bear is subject to editing and may be declined.
- Our suggested word count for full-length stories is no more than 400 words; submissions may be further edited for length depending on space available.
- All content should be written by the author; it should not be copied, paraphrased, or otherwise taken from another source without crediting the source.
- Please do not submit content that has already appeared somewhere else (in print or online). We also ask that you do not republish your submission anywhere else for a reasonable time after The Amherst Bear publishes it (for most pieces, about three months).
- We do not publish submissions that promote products or services.
- In the form below, provide the author’s name, the author’s town of residence (and, if not Amherst, the author’s connection with Amherst), and any images that support the story. Include attribution/credit information for all images.
